I’m Karen, the hands (and sewing machine) behind Kaybee Creations. With over 20 years of experience as an optometrist, I’ve developed a keen eye for detail (pun absolutely intended!). That precision carries through into everything I create, from glasses cases to bags and all sorts of fun bookish accessories.

Sewing has always been a passion of mine, and I’m lucky enough to make it my creative outlet alongside my professional work. My background in optometry and love of photography helps me see the world through a unique lens (again, pun intended!), always seeking beauty in the small, sometimes overlooked details that make a piece truly special.

When it comes to fabric, I’m drawn to the whimsical florals of Rifle Paper Co., the bold, playful prints of Tula Pink, the modern designs of Ruby Star Society, to charming Kiwiana-inspired patterns. I love using fabrics that bring joy and personality to every piece.

Through Kaybee Creations, I get to combine my love for precision and creativity, and I’m always excited to experiment with new ideas, explore fresh fabrics, and share my handcrafted, one-of-a-kind creations with you!
